นอกจากนี้ธันย์ยังได้กำลังใจจากคนรอบข้าง และนำมาเป็นแรงผลักดันในชีวิตให้สู้ต่อไป ชีวิตยังมีความฝัน ธันย์ฝันไว้ว่าจะเป็นจิตแพทย์และเหตุการณ์ในครั้งนี้ทำให้ธันย์มีประสบการณ์ตรง ช่วงที่รักษาตัวมีคนมาให้กำลังใจเต็มห้องไปหมด ทุกคนที่รู้ข่าวทั้งๆ ที่ไม่รู้จักกัน แต่เขามาให้กำลังใจ บางคนก็ร้องไห้กลายเป็นว่าเราต้องคอยปลอบ ช่วงรักษาตัวนั้นพยายามทำทุกอย่างด้วยตัวเอง อาบน้ำเอง ไปไหนมาไหนเอง ไม่กดออดเรียกพยาบาลเลย พยายามทำทุกอย่างด้วยตัวเองหมด เพียงแต่ยังเดินไม่ได้เท่านั้น แต่ก็ไม่ได้ท้อนะคะแม้จะไม่มีขาแต่เราก็ยังมีรถเข็นค่ะ "น้องธันย์อยากจะให้ทุกท่านมองความสูญเสียที่เกิดขึ้นว่าเป็นบทเรียนของชีวิต และอยากจะมอบของขวัญปีใหม่ให้กับทุกท่านด้วยการแบ่งปันเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นกับชีวิตของธันย์ให้เป็นทั้งกำลังใจและแรงบันดาลใจแก่ผู้ที่สูญเสียได้ลุกขึ้นสู้ การสูญเสียทรัพย์สินเราสามารถหาใหม่ได้ แต่ธันย์สูญเสียขาไปแล้วไม่สามารถได้ขามาเป็นเหมือนเดิมมีเพียงขาเทียมมาทดแทน แต่ธันย์และผู้ประสบภัยทุกท่านเรายังมีสิ่งสำคัญที่สุดที่เหมือนกัน ซึ่งช่วยให้เรามีชีวิตอยู่ได้นั่นก็คือ "ลมหายใจ" ตราบใดที่เรายังมีลมหายใจทุกอย่างก็สามารถสร้างขึ้นมาใหม่ หรือหามาทดแทนได้เสมอ ท้อได้ค่ะแต่อย่าถอย พยายามอย่าคิดว่าทำไมตัวเองถึงโชคร้าย ทำไมต้องเกิดเหตุการณ์นี้ขึ้น เพราะยิ่งจะทำให้เราห่อเหี่ยวท้อใจ ธันย์เชื่อว่าทุกคนสามารถสร้างกำลังใจที่ดีได้เพียงแค่คิดบวก ไม่คิดถึงแต่ความสูญเสียที่เกิดขึ้นเพียงอย่างเดียว พยายามหาด้านดีๆ ของสิ่งเหล่านั้น ขนาดเหรียญยังมี 2 ด้าน คนยังมี 2 หน้า ทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างมี 2 ด้านเสมอ ใช้เวลาทำใจไม่นานเดี๋ยวทุกอย่างก็เปลี่ยนไป ชีวิตต้องมองไปข้างหน้า ไม่ใช่มองแค่ตรงนี้ อนาคตต้องเดินต่อไป ลมหายใจบวกกำลังใจเท่ากับชีวิตที่สดใสค่ะ" น้องธันย์ กล่าว อธิบดีกรมสุขภาพจิต กล่าวแนะนำวิธีสร้างความสุขรับปีใหม่ปีมังกรแบบง่ายๆ ด้วย "การยิ้ม" เพราะการยิ้มจะช่วยลดความเครียดได้ การยิ้มนั้นมีความสัมพันธ์กับความสุขใจ เมื่อคนเรารู้สึกมีความสุขเราจะแสดงออกทางสีหน้าด้วยรอยยิ้ม การยิ้มจะช่วยลดความเครียด ลดความขุ่นเคืองใจ ลดความขัดแย้ง พร้อมกับร่างกายได้หลั่งสาร เอนโดรฟินไปยังสมองทำให้อารมณ์แจ่มใสช่วยให้มองโลกในแง่ดีขึ้น การยิ้มในสถานการณ์ขับขันจะช่วยเพิ่มความกล้าในจิตใจ ทำให้มีพลังที่จะเอาชนะปัญหาอุปสรรคมากมายที่กองอยู่ตรงหน้าให้ผ่านพ้นได้ด้วยใจที่เข้มแข็ง สิ่งที่ไม่ดีในปีเก่าจะผ่านพ้นไป และลอยไปกับสายน้ำ ปีใหม่ก็จะมีแต่สิ่งใหม่ๆ ที่เป็นสิ่งดีๆ เข้ามาในชีวิตของทุกคน ขอให้พี่น้องประชาชนก้าวสู่ปีใหม่พร้อมด้วยรอยยิ้มที่เปี่ยมไปด้วยความสุขนะครับ น.พ.เกียรติภูมิ วงศ์รจิต รองอธิบดีกรมสุขภาพสุขภาพจิตกล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า ผู้ประสบภัยหลายท่านที่สูญเสียอาจรู้สึกว่าเป็นทุกข์มาก และนึกวนเวียนถึงเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า เฝ้าแต่คิดว่า "สิ่งเหล่านี้ไม่น่าจะเกิดกับเราเลย" หรือ "ถ้าน้ำไม่ท่วมบ้านเราคงไม่เสียหายขนาดนี้" การคิดแบบนี้จะยิ่งทำให้ใจเป็นทุกข์ ท้อแท้ และเศร้าหมอง รับศักราชปีใหม่ 2555 จึงอยากให้ทุกท่านลองเปลี่ยนมุมมองเปลี่ยนความคิดให้เป็นบวก เป็นการคิดในเรื่องที่ว่าปีใหม่นี้จะเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นที่ดีที่เราจะมีโอกาสได้ เริ่มต้นทำสิ่งใหม่ๆ อีกครั้ง ปีใหม่เป็นโอกาสที่จะทำกิจกรรมดีๆ มากมายที่ไม่ได้มีในวันปกติ เช่น การสวดมนต์ข้ามปี ซึ่งเป็นกิจกรรมที่ทำที่บ้านก็ได้ ถือเป็นการทำกิจกรรมดีๆ รับปีที่ดูเรียบง่ายแต่ก็ช่วยให้จิตใจสงบและเป็นสุขสะดวกปลอดภัยกับชีวิตอีกด้วย ในวันปีใหม่นี้ ขออำนาจคุณพระศรีรัตนตรัยดลบันดาลให้ทุกท่านมีชีวิตที่เต็มเปี่ยมด้วยความสุข สุขภาพดีทั้งกายและใจ
